Set amidst magnificent gardens and rolling parkland, Ballyvolane House provides endless possibilities for your ceremony. Exchange vows beneath the whispering trees in the woodland, say “I do” in the rustic hay barn, or choose a romantic outdoor setting among the gardens. Afterwards, enjoy an exquisite four-course feast on the dining terrace of our beautifully converted barn — the perfect space to toast, dine, and dance the night away in true celebration style.
For a full weekend experience, couples enjoy exclusive use of the house and grounds from Friday at 3pm until Sunday at noon, ensuring total privacy and a relaxed celebration from start to finish.
Spread across 80 acres of manicured gardens, tranquil lakes, mature woodland, and sweeping parkland, Ballyvolane House is a photographer’s dream. With both indoor and outdoor ceremony options, you can design your day exactly as you envision it. Whether you prefer an intimate ceremony inside the house, a charming barn blessing, or a romantic outdoor celebration by the lake or under the trees, every location promises a breathtaking backdrop for your vows.
At Ballyvolane House, dining is an experience to savour. After the ceremony, your Drinks Reception unfolds in the gardens and the main house, where guests can mingle while enjoying a glass of Prosecco, Champagne, or one of our signature cocktails made with Bertha’s Revenge Gin — distilled right here on the estate. Our 1950s retro caravan bar adds a delightful vintage touch, serving up pints and conversation under the open sky.
As music drifts through the air, our team circulates with a selection of handmade canapés — both hot and cold — chosen by you. Every dish reflects our commitment to local, seasonal, and sustainable dining. Head Chef Sarah crafts her menus using ingredients sourced from nearby artisan producers, complemented by the fruits and vegetables grown in our very own walled garden. The result is a dining experience that feels personal, fresh, and utterly delicious.
When it’s time to party, Ballyvolane transforms into the ultimate celebration venue. Whether your guests are dancing under the lights or relaxing with a drink in the cosy bar, the entire space — including the dining terrace — is designed to keep the festivities flowing together. From barefoot bohemian to black-tie elegance, we welcome all wedding styles with warmth and flair.
After the celebrations, retreat to one of six individually designed bedrooms in the main house. Each room offers sweeping countryside views, luxurious beds, and beautifully restored bathrooms featuring antique bathtubs. Your wedding booking includes exclusive use of all six bedrooms, sleeping up to 12 guests.
Between May and September, an additional 20 guests can enjoy the charm of glamping in our garden tents and arks, complete with cosy comforts and countryside charm. For any remaining guests, we’re happy to recommend wonderful local accommodation options and help arrange transportation to and from the venue.
